The one song I'm thinking of specifically right now is Cartoon Showroom. You guys may have seen in several places that it is possibly my favorite song of this album. So, it may come as no surprise that it's the one song that stays stuck in my head if there is a song from this album that I have on my mind. Of course, like I said I never can understand meanings real well on my own. For one, I'm trying to figure out the title, what is this Cartoon Showroom? From what I can gather the song seems like it's about someone younger, who looks up to you that you took under your wing (which is basically a line in the song). I just might be taking that line too literally, because I tend to do that and not see the big picture. Well, you miss this person and they left you somehow, grew up, died, just left, or maybe you failed them or something. I just know there is some sadness to this song. I just really don't get the title, it's a beautiful song, that I already love. I just know that understanding this song and each of the other songs from the album will let me appreciate it just that much more.

Thanks for the response! That's mostly what I kinda think about it too. I just wasn't sure about saying kids because I don't know any of the Dredg members' lives or if they have kids. And if they did, if they were old enough for this song really. Which now kinda doesn't make sense that I thought that really. But, I guess I really should be able to understand it's about kids first hand anyways growing up as a kid and looking at my brother and sister. My dad feels so helpless when it comes to them. Such a great song...
The beauty of music/art is that the meaning is in the mind if the person experiencing it. Having said that, it would be really cool to hear what meaning the song has to Dredg.
What i mostly get from the song is that we try our hardest to shape and mold our children into what we believe is good, but at the same time our children will inevitably no longer need us and will have to make decisions as an individual. We can only hope that how we taught them to be people will influence their directions in life.
I interpret it that way because I have two daughters, 6 and 3. The day that they "keep moving onward" will be both a sad and a proud day for me.
